There’s no time like the present. That fundamental thought has been around since 1562. And while maternity portraits were not a thing in 1592, commemorating important family members in paintings was very much alive. These days, we turn to photographs to record our history, our milestones, our important events. And while Covid 19 has maybe changed how we do things, but we shouldn’t let it rob us of what is important to us.

For Rachels shoot below, we used a variety of silks, and maternity wardrobe to create different looks that were all captured in my Charlottesville, Virginia Maternity Portraits studio. A benefit to shooting inside the studio is air conditioning (a very important point during the summer!), and convenient access to bathrooms, food and drinks!
