Girls Senior Portrait session in Charlottesville

Photograph of a Girls Senior high School student from Foxcroft Boarding school in Middleburg Virginia. Portrait session taken in Charlottesville Virginia at Farmington Country Club in western  Albemarle County. Farmington, a private estate of roughly a thousand acres prior to the revolutionary war, was first conceived as a country club in the early twentieth century and was formally opened in May of 1929.  A world class golf course, with family swimming pool, restaurants and tennis courts, Farmington is a lovely developed property.  Rolling hills with ponds and creeks, and gardens that bloom prolifically in the spring and summer time, it is an oasis of tranquility.  Abundant meeting rooms, a sunroom overlooking the fairway, and hotel rooms for rent it is the perfect place for any getaway, and portrait sessions, as well as weddings and receptions are common occurrences held here.  This senior girl is wearing a cream colored crocheted dress with bodice of layered ruffles and spaghetti straps, complimented by brown leather boots and a turquoise necklace.  Late summer early fall is the perfect time for senior portraits, and the deep greens of the trees in West Albemarle county at this time is beautiful. An adirondack chair for a casual photo with the blue ridge mountains serving as a backdrop provides for beautiful scenery during any portrait session.

Location: Farmington Country Club.
